Good Summer: A Handwritten Font for Eye-Catching Campaigns

I was designing a promotional graphic for a summer sale campaign when I stumbled upon Good Summer. It wasn’t just any font—it had that perfect balance of casual charm and professional polish. As I began to use it in my layout, I realized how well it fit the mood of the campaign: relaxed, inviting, and full of warmth.

Good Summer is a sweet and relaxed handwritten font from Script Amp, designed to bring a personal touch to your brand visuals. Every letter feels like it was written with care, making it ideal for logos, quotes, and branding elements that need to stand out without feeling too formal. Its unique character gives it a soft, approachable vibe that works especially well for campaigns targeting younger audiences or lifestyle brands.

How Good Summer Performs in Real Campaign Workflows

When I first used Good Summer on a YouTube thumbnail for a product teaser, the results were immediate. The font’s natural flow helped the headline pop against a bright background. It didn’t feel cluttered or overwhelming—just friendly and easy to read. That’s something I noticed across different formats: Instagram posts, Pinterest pins, and even digital ad banners.

One of the best things about this font is its versatility. I paired it with a clean sans serif font for body copy in an email promotion, and it worked seamlessly. The contrast between the two styles created a visual hierarchy that guided the reader’s eye naturally from the headline to the supporting text. It also added a nice touch of personality to a webinar banner I was working on—a subtle way to show the brand’s human side without sacrificing professionalism.

Using Good Summer Across Different Campaign Formats

Good Summer shines in short headlines, callouts, and decorative titles. I’ve used it for everything from quote graphics to branded templates, and each time it brought a sense of authenticity to the design. For example, when creating a series of Instagram posts for a seasonal sale, I used Good Summer as the main text for each post’s title. It gave the whole campaign a cohesive look while still allowing room for creativity in each individual post.

In a Pinterest campaign for an online course launch, I layered Good Summer over a background image. Even though the text was small, the font’s legibility remained strong. This made it a great choice for fast-scrolling feeds where first impressions matter most. The same goes for mobile previews—I found that the font stayed clear and readable even at smaller sizes, which is crucial for digital ads and social media thumbnails.

However, there are some situations where Good Summer may not be the best fit. Long blocks of text, dense information, or formal corporate communication don’t benefit from a handwritten font. In these cases, a more structured typeface would be better suited for readability and clarity.

Font Pairing and Practical Considerations

When working with Good Summer, I recommend pairing it with a complementary sans serif or serif font to maintain balance. A clean sans serif like Helvetica or Arial makes a great contrast, helping to keep the design modern yet approachable. If you're going for a more elegant feel, a classic serif like Georgia can work wonders.

Before using Good Summer in any client project, it’s important to check what styles, alternates, and ligatures are included. Also, make sure the font supports the languages you’ll be using and has proper commercial licensing if you plan to use it in ads, merchandise, or digital products.

The file formats available (like OTF and TTF) should also be considered based on the platforms you’re designing for. Whether you're building a website, crafting a digital ad, or preparing print materials, having the right format ensures that the font displays correctly everywhere it needs to.

Overall, Good Summer is a valuable addition to any designer’s toolkit. Its ability to add warmth and character to campaign visuals makes it a go-to choice for creating engaging, memorable content. Whether you're launching a new product, promoting a course, or running a seasonal sale, this font brings a fresh, human touch that resonates with audiences across platforms.
